Album of the Week: Oomph’s Unrein

I discovered Oomph! when one of their videos popped up while I was watching Rammstein on YouTube. I have since delved deep into their discography and this week, I give you 1998’s Unrein as my featured album.

Album of the Week: Britney Spears’ In the Zone

I was never a huge Britney fan, but I had a few of her songs on repeat. One of those was “Toxic,” from 2003’s In the Zone. I still think that is her best song to date.

Album of the Week: Front Line Assembly’s Echogenetic

I had heard of Front Line Assembly before, but I never actually listened to them until recently. So far, my favorite song is “Ghosts,” from Echogenetic. That is why I chose the record as my album of the week 🙂

Album of the Week: SMKC’s Living The Dream

I just saw Slash with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators on the tour for Living The Dream and it was absolute perfection, so naturally this had to be my album of the week!

Album of the Week: Psyclon Nine’s We the Fallen

I discovered Psyclon Nine many moons ago, while I was in college. I used to listen to “Inri” and “Behind a Serrated Grin” every day while doing schoolwork.

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet front man Nero Bellum, who is on tour with Sköld. With any luck, I will be seeing Psyclon Nine in October. (Fingers crossed!)

Anyway, I decided to feature Psyclon Nine because they’ve been on my mind since the Sköld show, and my album of the week is 2009’s We the Fallen.

Album of the Week: Kill Hannah’s For Never & Ever

The first song I remember hearing by Kill Hannah is “Kennedy,” from For Never & Ever. This album was the start of my love for the band 🙂

Album of the Week: Rammstein’s Rosenrot

You can never go wrong with Rammstein. Recently, I have rediscovered my love of the band, and both “Rosenrot” and “Benzin,” from the album Rosenrot, have been on repeat.

Album of the Week: 98 Degrees’ Revelation

I’m showing my inner teenager again. Lol.

While Revelation was not my favorite 98 Degrees album, I have to admit I did catch the hype for “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).”

Album of the Week: Emigrate’s A Million Degrees

How can you go wrong with a side project from one of the members of Rammstein?! (Richard Z. Kruspe, for those wondering.) I admit I was late in discovering Emigrate: I didn’t stumble across them until their latest release, A Million Degrees. The first song I heard was “I’m Not Afraid,” which features Cardinal Copia of Ghost, but my favorite from the album is “Let’s Go,” with guest vocals from Rammstein front man Till Lindemann.

Album of the Week: Good Charlotte’s The Chronicles of Life and Death

I was given The Chronicles of Life and Death for Christmas the year it was released. I remember playing “Predictable” and “I Just Wanna Live” on repeat. It drove my mom crazy.
